The history of VC Warriors

From Humble Beginnings to a Rising Force
The story of VC Warriors Football Club is one of transformation, determination, and community pride.
Founded in 2012 in the northern town of Paga, the club was originally known as Afeni Stars. It began as a grassroots effort—a group of passionate young footballers and local visionaries working to create opportunities for youth through sport. Under this name, the club gained a local reputation for talent and tenacity on the field.
In the years that followed, a change in leadership marked a new chapter. The club was rebranded as VC Warriors, short for Victory Club Warriors, a name that better reflected its ambition, competitive spirit, and vision for the future. With fresh energy and a renewed mission, the team relocated to Wenchi, where it found a new home and a supportive community.
Since then, VC Warriors has grown from strength to strength—building a reputation for disciplined play, youth development, and inspiring teamwork. While we honor our roots in Paga, our sights are firmly set on the future: to rise through the football ranks and become a national powerhouse in Ghanaian football.
From dusty fields to stadium lights, our journey is a testament to what belief, unity, and hard work can achieve.
We are VC Warriors. We are built for victory.
